MONROVIA – Two senior officials of the Liberia National Fire Service (LNFS) are representing Liberia at the African Capacity Development and Research Institute (ACADRI) Conference currently underway in Pretoria, South Africa.
The Liberian delegation comprises Deputy Director for Administration, Col. Emmanuel K. Farr, and Special Assistant to the Director, Sr. Roland B. Davis.
The conference is being held under the theme, “Integrating AI Across Sector Leadership, Finance, ICT, Procurement, and Human Resources,” and brings together government officials, policy experts, and development practitioners from across Africa to explore the growing role of artificial intelligence and digital technologies in public sector governance.
According to organizers, discussions are focused on how governments can leverage digital innovation and AI to improve service delivery, enhance transparency and accountability, strengthen institutional efficiency, and support evidence-based decision-making.
Participants are also examining the impact of emerging technologies on leadership, financial management, information and communication technology (ICT), procurement systems, and human resource administration.
The conference has attracted delegates from several African countries, including Liberia, Ghana, South Africa, Lesotho, Malawi, Kenya, and Mozambique.
For the Liberia National Fire Service, participation in the conference provides an opportunity to gain insights into modern governance practices and technological innovations that could strengthen institutional performance and public service delivery.
Officials attending the event are expected to engage with regional counterparts, share experiences, and explore strategies that could support ongoing efforts to modernize public institutions in Liberia.
The conference forms part of broader initiatives aimed at promoting capacity development and fostering collaboration among African governments on the use of technology to improve governance and public administration.
