Chinese Embassy Marks CPC’s 105th Anniversary, Reaffirms Liberia-China Ties

MONROVIA, Liberia – The Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Liberia on Friday, June 26, hosted a reception marking the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC), bringing together senior Liberian government officials, political leaders, diplomats and members of the Chinese community to celebrate the milestone and reaffirm the longstanding relationship between the two countries.
More than 200 guests attended the event, including Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Senate Pro-Tempore Nyonblee Karnga-Lawrence, Acting Foreign Minister Ethel Davis, Unity Party National Chairman Rev. J. Luther Tarpeh, senior government officials, representatives of various sectors of society, and members of the overseas Chinese community in Liberia.
Addressing the gathering, Chinese Ambassador to Liberia Yin Chengwu reflected on the Communist Party of China’s 105-year history, highlighting what he described as the party’s achievements in national development and governance since its establishment.
Ambassador Yin said the CPC has consistently prioritized party building, maintained a people-centered approach to governance, upheld the principle of independence, and pursued a development path tailored to China’s national conditions. He noted that the party remains committed to working with governments and political parties around the world to improve people’s livelihoods, promote modernization, and advance what China describes as a “community with a shared future for mankind.”
President Boakai, along with other Liberian officials, congratulated the CPC on its anniversary and commended what they described as the party’s historic accomplishments. They also reaffirmed Liberia’s adherence to the one-China policy and pledged continued support for strengthening the strategic partnership between Liberia and China.
The reception concluded in what organizers described as a warm and cordial atmosphere, with guests celebrating the anniversary while underscoring the enduring diplomatic and development cooperation between the two nations.
