A Guinean business executive Kerfalla Person Camara, popularly known as KPC, held discussions with President Joseph Nyuma Boakai as Liberia moves to strengthen economic cooperation and attract new investments from the private sector, signaling his interest to explore investment opportunities in Liberia.
The meeting, held at the Executive Mansion, focused on possible investment opportunities in key sectors, including infrastructure, public-private partnerships, real estate, agriculture, tourism, and industrial development.
President Boakai welcomed Camara’s interest in investing in Liberia, emphasizing that stronger collaboration between Liberian and Guinean businesses could contribute to regional economic integration and create opportunities for shared growth within West Africa.
The Liberian leader said his administration remains committed to creating an enabling environment for responsible investors, highlighting the importance of partnerships that support job creation, technology transfer, economic expansion, and infrastructure development.
During the engagement, both sides discussed opportunities for private-sector involvement in Liberia’s infrastructure agenda, including transportation networks, affordable housing projects, industrial facilities, logistics, and agro-processing initiatives through public-private partnerships.
For his part, Camara expressed interest in establishing a long-term business presence in Liberia, saying he is prepared to work with the Liberian government and local businesses to support the country’s development priorities.
Camara, who leads Groupe Guicopres, a Guinean construction and infrastructure company, brings experience in road construction, bridge development, government facilities, housing projects, healthcare infrastructure, educational institutions, and commercial developments across parts of West Africa.
The visit is expected to further strengthen economic relations between Liberia and Guinea while promoting foreign direct investment, employment opportunities, and sustainable infrastructure development.
Government officials say the engagement reflects Liberia’s ongoing efforts to attract strategic investors and expand partnerships that support national development goals.
