MONROVIA–Magdalene Ellen Dagoseh has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to enforcing price control measures aimed at stabilizing the Liberian market and protecting consumers from unjustified price hikes.
Speaking Thursday on the Punch Breakfast Show aired on Punch FM 106.7, Minister Dagoseh said the Ministry of Commerce and Industry is actively implementing price control regulations across the country.
“Liberia has price control and it is in effect. We are implementing price control and that is why you see me on the field enforcing the mandate,” she stated during the interview.
According to the Commerce Minister, the government remains focused on monitoring market activities to ensure that the prices of essential commodities remain affordable for ordinary Liberians.
“We are controlling prices on the market. I want to be remembered as a Commerce Minister that stabilizes prices on the market,” Dagoseh emphasized.
The Minister noted that her field inspections and engagements with business entities are part of broader efforts to strengthen market regulation and maintain fairness within the country’s commercial sector.
Thursday’s edition of the Punch Breakfast Show also featured Nee-Alah Varpliah, who discussed efforts by the Liberia Institute of Public Administration (LIPA) to build a new generation of professionals across Liberia’s public sector.
