The Management of the John F. Kennedy Medical Center has dismissed social media reports alleging that doctors at the hospital are engaged in a “go-slow” action over salary concerns and that no doctors are currently on duty.
In a press release issued Tuesday, May 19, the hospital clarified that there has been no protest or disruption of medical services at Liberia’s largest referral medical facility.
JFK Medical Center described the circulating claims as “false and misleading,” stating that the information appears intended to create unnecessary panic among the public.
According to the hospital’s management, doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals remain actively on duty and continue to provide uninterrupted medical care to patients and the general public.
The administration further cautioned members of the public and media institutions against spreading unverified information capable of causing alarm and undermining confidence in Liberia’s healthcare system.
JFKMC also urged citizens to rely only on the hospital’s official communication channels for accurate and verified information regarding its operations and healthcare services.
