NIMBA–In a scene straight out of a nightmare, a young boy in rural Nimba County cheated death after he was allegedly swallowed whole by a snake while left alone at home.
The terrifying incident happened while the child’s parents had gone to the farm, leaving him without adult supervision, according to preliminary information gathered.
Sources say that in the quiet of the empty compound, a large snake struck, picking up the little boy and swallowing him, as panic erupted when the parents returned to find their child missing.
What followed was a desperate rescue that community members are now calling nothing short of a miracle.
Against all odds, the boy was pulled from the snake alive.He is now said to be stable and is receiving both traditional and medical attention as he recovers from the traumatic ordeal.
Details are still sketchy as the exact type of snake involved and the full extent of the child’s injuries have not been independently verified.
Local authorities are yet to comment, but for residents in the area, the story has sent shockwaves and fear through homes.
