
MONROVIA -During the just-ended Africa Forward Summit held in Nairobi, Kenya, President Joseph Nyuma Boakai had the opportunity to hold bilateral discussions with Emmanuel Macron on the sidelines of the Summit.
Both leaders used the meeting to explore ways to strengthen diplomatic and development cooperation between Liberia and France.
The high-level meeting took place in Nairobi, Kenya, where President Boakai and President Macron engaged in what officials described as a productive tête-à-tête focused on expanding collaboration in areas of mutual interest and reinforcing the longstanding relationship between the two countries.
According to the Liberian delegation, discussions centered on enhancing bilateral ties, promoting development partnerships, and identifying opportunities for increased cooperation in sectors beneficial to both nations. The two leaders also exchanged views on key regional and international issues affecting Africa and the broader global community.
President Boakai used the meeting to reaffirm Liberia’s commitment to fostering stronger international partnerships aimed at supporting national development priorities and regional stability.
Joining President Boakai during the bilateral engagement were Liberia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sara Beysolow Nyanti, and Liberia’s Ambassador to France, Teeko Tozay Yorlay, Sr..
The meeting formed part of a series of engagements held on the margins of the summit, which has brought together African leaders, international partners, and global stakeholders to discuss investment, innovation, governance, and sustainable development across the continent.
