Education Minister Dr. Jarso Maley Jallah has challenged graduates of the Liberia Institute of Public Administration (LIPA) to apply the knowledge and skills they have acquired to improve public service delivery across Liberia.
Dr. Jallah made the call when she joined LIPA for the First Cohort Graduation Ceremony of 2026, held under the theme, “Beyond the Distance: Empowering Leaders Through Learning and Perseverance.”
Addressing the graduates, the Minister urged them to translate their academic achievements into practical solutions that enhance the everyday work of government institutions.
She said Liberia’s development depends on narrowing the gap between policy formulation and implementation, ensuring that public resources translate into quality services, and strengthening the relationship between government institutions and the citizens they serve.
Dr. Jallah further encouraged the graduates to uphold integrity, accountability, sound judgment, and a results-oriented approach as they assume responsibilities within their respective institutions.
She also called on public-sector institutions to make continuous investment in professional development, emphasizing that a well-trained workforce is essential to meeting the country’s evolving governance and development needs.
The education minister congratulated the graduates on their achievement and commended the Liberia Institute of Public Administration for its role in equipping public servants with the knowledge and skills needed to strengthen effective public administration in Liberia.
