
Liberia’s Minister of Commerce and Industry, Magdalene Ellen Dagoseh, has boosted of existing strong economic ties with Nigeria, and reaffirmed government’s commitment to strengthening economic cooperation with Nigeria through increased trade, investment, and regional integration.
Speaking during the Liberia–Nigeria Trade & Investment Forum 2026, held under the theme, “Building Bridges for Shared Prosperity through Trade, Investment, and Regional Integration,” Minister Dagoseh described the forum as a significant platform for deepening bilateral relations and unlocking new economic opportunities between the two countries.
The Commerce Minister said she was honored to participate in the forum, emphasizing that Liberia remains committed to fostering stronger partnerships that promote sustainable economic growth, attract investment, and expand trade opportunities.
She noted that enhanced collaboration between Liberia and Nigeria will not only benefit both nations but also contribute to broader regional integration and economic development across Africa.
According to Minister Dagoseh, the forum reflects the shared vision of both countries to build resilient economies through strategic partnerships, private sector engagement, and cross-border investment initiatives.
The Liberia–Nigeria Trade & Investment Forum brings together government officials, business leaders, investors, and development partners to explore avenues for increased trade, investment, and economic cooperation, while advancing the goals of regional integration under the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
The forum is expected to strengthen commercial ties between Liberia and Nigeria and create new opportunities for businesses, investors, and entrepreneurs in both countries.
