As foreign countries continue to send their representations to Liberia, President Joseph Boakai Wednesday welcomed four additional ambassadors who presented their Letters of Credence at the Executive Mansion.
The newly accredited ambassadors are from Lebanon, Federal Republic of Germany, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).
They are Ambassador Brashis Sarkis of the Republic of Lebanon, Ambassador Carsten Hölscher of the Federal Republic of Germany, Ambassador Paul Richard Simister of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and Ambassador Mohamed Kenewi Konneh, Ambassador and Special Representative of the ECOWAS Commission.
The presentation of the Letters of Credence officially recognizes the diplomats as the accredited representatives of their respective governments and institutions to Liberia, reaffirming the country’s commitment to strengthening diplomatic relations, regional cooperation, and international partnerships.
In a brief statement, President Boakai warmly welcomed the newly accredited envoys and reaffirmed Liberia’s commitment to deepening bilateral and multilateral cooperation with its international and regional partners.
He used to occaion to emphasize the importance of collaboration in advancing shared interests, including trade, investment, peace and security, governance, and sustainable development.
The accreditation ceremony underscores Liberia’s continued efforts to strengthen its diplomatic engagement with countries and regional organizations as the government pursues its national development priorities under the ARREST Agenda for Inclusive Development.
Dozens of ambassadors have presented Letters of Credence since the inception of his administration in 2024, representing reaffirmation of commitments in working with the administration.
