The Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA) has terminated the services of two of its Action Agents after internal investigations found them guilty of gross misconduct and serious violations of the Agency’s Code of Conduct.
The dismissed officers have been identified as Emmanuel Soluteh, who was assigned to the Agency’s headquarters in Fiamah, Sinkor, and Joseph Dahn, who served with the LDEA’s Nimba County Detachment in Ganta.
According to a statement issued Wednesday by the LDEA, the decision followed recommendations from the Agency’s Board of Internal Inquiry, which concluded that both individuals had engaged in conduct inconsistent with the standards expected of LDEA personnel.
As a result, the Agency said the two former Action Agents have been removed from all LDEA employment, volunteer, and vetting processes.
The LDEA reiterated its commitment to maintaining discipline and professionalism within its ranks, emphasizing that it has a zero-tolerance policy for misconduct.
“The LDEA maintains a zero-tolerance policy for misconduct and will not tolerate any action that undermines the rule of law, human rights, or the integrity of the Agency,” the statement said, adding that no volunteer or officer who acts outside the law will be excused or protected.
The Agency further informed the public that Emmanuel Soluteh and Joseph Dahn no longer represent the LDEA and are not authorized to conduct any official business on behalf of the institution.
